Chatroom
From HelpWiki
The chatroom is a place where you can meet other horse crazy folks like yourself. Please make sure you follow the internet safety guidelines at all times. Giving out personal information is dangerous if you're under 18 years of age.The Basics
Both the english and racing register have a different looking chatroom. However both of them link to the same place. When you click on the chatroom screen a window pops up. From there all you need to do is enter your username and hit the submit button. The password field is not required but is necessary for moderators. Click the button to enter the chatroom.
Chatroom Layout
There are three main sections of the chatroom. To the right side of the screen is the members online list. This displays the name of all other members currently in the chatroom. In the middle of the screen is the main chat window. This is where all of the chat text appears. At the very bottom of the chat window is the chat toolbar. This is where you can change the chatroom settings and write messages to send out to everyone in the chatroom.
Chatroom Not Working?
If you've having problem getting your chatroom to load properly you need to download the latest version of Java. Java is a Microsoft software that is necessary to run the chatroom. Find the links at the bottom of the chatroom window. Click on the one that says Chatroom Not Working? This will automatically take you to the Java website where you can download and install the latest version. Java is a certified, spam/virus free program. It is safe to download and install on your computer. If you need help installing it please ask a parent or guardian.

Text Window
In the text window you'll see the user's name followed by their text. If they have entered a URL the link will be blue and you can click on it. The link will open in a new window.
Anytime someone types in the name you're using in the chatroom it will turn PINK. This helps you to tell that they're talking directly to you.
Images that show up beside someone's name are avatars. You can set your own avatar by clicking on the mask button at the bottom of your chat toolbar.
If you want to send someone a private message you can click on their name shown in blue. This will open a small window that only the two of you can see what is being typed.
