Foals
From HelpWiki
In WOSR, a foal or youngster is anything under the age of 2, (this is when a horse can start racing).
There are various ways of getting foals.
1). Breed two horses.
however it takes 7 days until the foal is born.
2). Buy a foal
Many other players breed horses to sell the foals.
A foal to an extent is useless until it turns two years old. The only thing you can do with foals is the daily duties, buy/sell, vet/farrier and train them. This though is the best way to find out the horses racing preferences as it will not disturb any racing.
However foals are crucial as they are the new stock and could be future legends.
In WOSE, a foal can be the result of two horses being bred, being “bought” from the store on the main account page – with or without credits, or buying from another player. A foal cannot show until the age of 2; from the ages 2-3 the foal shows in the Training Level shows.
A filly is a female horse, and becomes a mare at the age of 4. She can be bred at the age of 3 only with one of the stallions on the owner's account. At age 4, she can be bred to any stallion on any account with the permission of the account owner.
A colt is a male horse, and becomes a stallion at the age of 5. He can be used to breed any mare on any account at the age of 4.
If a foal is born on an account as a result of a mare and stallion being bred, the foal will acquire part of the rank of sire and dam. To figure the rank of a foal, add the rank of the mare to the rank of the stallion and divide by 3. If the Mare's rank is 23, and the Stallion's rank is 13: 23+13=36. 36/3=12. The rank of the foal should be 12. But if the Mare's rank is 123 and Stallion's rank is 113: 123+113=236. 236/3=78.6 (rounded to 79). Therefore, the higher the rank of both mare and stallion, the higher the rank of the foal.
