A jockey is a very valuable staff member. Your jockey will be riding your horses in races, no jockey = no racing. It is very important that your jockey knows your horses racing preferences so that the jockey can change its settings for your horse to give it the best possible chance of winning.

What is a good jockey?

The main thing to look for in a jockey is experience. A jockey who has a good race record is always your best bet. A jockey has their own health and physical fitness stats, but at the moment these cannot be improved or get worse. Try to find a jockey with high health and physical stats. These can be found from the jockeys homepage by clicking "Exercise". Every jockey has different stats, so try and find one with well balanced and high stats.

Paying a jockey?

Alot of jockeys are free at the moment, until the jockey part of WOSR is fixed up. Some jockeys will only ask for approx 10% of horses winnings though.

Where to find a jockey?

There are two main places in the online section and in the message boards. Alot of jockeys who are looking for work will normally post a message in the job section of the message boards, or will state looking for work in their names.

Hiring a jockey

Once found a jockey, make sure you game message them to make sure they are taking on horses. If everything is alright you need to get the jockey's ID number from their homepage. Then go to your staff page and where it says hire, enter the jockey's ID number in the box below. The jockey will only show up with your staff once they have accepted the job.
