General

Remember that people of all ages play this game. Its important that you do not give out your personal information to anyone. This includes in the chat room, on the message boards, in your diary, or anywhere else you can post information on the website.

Things you shouldn't tell people about yourself or your friends:

   * Last Name
   * Home number or cell phone number
   * Home address, school address, or the address or a store, business, or friends house near your horse
   * Email address (unless you have your parent's permission)
   * AIM or MSN or YAHOO or ICQ (unless you have your parent's permission)
   * What you look like and pictures of yourself (unless you have your parent's permission)

Things its okay to tell people:

   * First Name
   * Age
   * The state or country you live in
   * Your favorite hobbies, books, or things to eat
   * Names of your horses
   * Things about your account like your account number, your horse's names, etc.

If you're ever not sure what is okay to tell someone then ask your parents first. Its always better to be safe then sorry.

Chat Room

If someone starts to ask you personal questions about yourself in the chat room please tell a moderator or write to jade@whiteoakstables.net. If you ever feel uncomfortable talking to someone then click on their name from the list of people in the chat room and select IGNORE.

To Parents

Make sure you talk to your children about what to do if they ever find themselves in an uncomfortable situation and the basics of internet safety. If you want your child blocked from entering the chat room please contact jade@whiteoakstables.net.
