Manage Stable

Jump to: navigation, search

Once you have upgraded your Basic Account, an extra button will appear on the left-hand side of your browser where the game navigation is located as 'Stable'.

Clicking this will bring you to your stable page. At the top will be your stable name and stable number. This can be changed under 'Manage Stable', where you can also choose to open your stable to boarders, close it to boarders, change your stable fee, view your boarders, and kick late boarders. You must click the 'Submit' button to finalize any changes made.

The next section you will see on your stable page is the 'Customize' section, where you can input any type of HTML to customize your stable page. Make any changes inside the box and click the 'Submit' button to finalize any changes made.

Below this will be your stable's statistics. This includes the overall rating of your stable, as well as a breakdown of all the items your stable has. Your stable may be allowed different amounts of these items based on whether or not it is a Small, Medium, or Large stable. You can improve the overall rating of your stable by buying items to improve the stable itself. Small, Medium, and Large stables can all reach a maximum of rank 9. The only way to reach rank 10 is to upgrade to a Blue Ribbon Stable. In order to purchase these items, you can go to the 'Stable n Things' link at the top of the stable page. There you can find all the items to improve your stable! Make sure after you add the items to your cart, you proceed to 'View Shopping Cart' at the top of the page and click on 'Check Out'. Only after doing this will those items be purchased. These items include Stalls, Accessories, Stable Additions, Safety Items, Showing Facilities, and Extra Stuff. Upon upgrading to a stable, you will be allowed to make certain shows, but some showing facilities may need to be purchased in addition in order to run that type of show.

The stable page is also where you will be able to run your stable shows. 1 per day for a Small stable, 2 per day for a Medium stable, 3 per day for a Large stable and 5 per day for a Blue Ribbon stable. Click on the 'Go' link next to the 'Create a stable show'. Provide the information needed (stable show name, type, fee, level, money awarded/cost of show) and click 'Create this show'. Voila! You will need 6 entries in your show to run, and you can not enter your own show. Once the show has 6 entries, you can navigate back to the same page and click 'Run this show'. It will run and show you the results. If you do not run it by the time daily shows run, it will run itself as long as it has 6 entries.

The stable page also has a few other options. Breeder, Instructor, Int. Auction, Caretaker, Horse Trading, and Stable n Things.

- Breeder is an option that is available once your purchase the correct items from Stable n Things. It allows you to choose two horses to breed together and choose how you would like to breed them. This CAN improve your foals points/rank once it is born, but also can decrease them. It is a matter of trial and error. From the Breeder page, you can change the fee you charge others to use you, as well as conduct whatever awaiting breedings are there (your own or other members). With this option, you can also breed horses that have hit age 25, as long as it is before the turn 26.

- Instructor is an option that is available once your purchase the correct items from Stable n Things. It allows you to give lessons to other member's horses in order to determine that horse's show settings for their particular event. Again, a matter of trial and error. From the Instructor page, you can change the lesson fee, as well as conduct any lessons that are waiting for you. The lesson will send automated results to the member who has asked for the lesson.

- Int. Auction is an option that is available to you once you purchase the 2 Horse Trailer from Stable n Things. Here, WOS Racing members can put their horses up for auction and you can bid on them. You can also auction your horses to WOS Racing members as long as it is a racing breed.

- Caretaker is an option that is not yet working.

- Horse Trading is an option that is not yet working.

- Stable n Things is the "stable store" where you go to purchase items for your stable.

For more information on some of these additional options, please locate their individual sections in the WOS HelpWiki.

A stable account also has the ability to accept boarders as long as stalls have been purchased from the Stable n Things link – either from the main menu or from the stable owner's stable link.

To be able to host and run shows, the stable owner must purchase the rings and courses for the various events. Judge's stands, parking lots, and spectator stands are also necessary to hold stable shows. Much money goes into the purchasing of events to be able to run shows.

Stable owners may NOT enter their own shows. Thus, players like to trade shows.
