In the racing register, it is very important to keep your horse healthy, whether its feeding or vet and farrier. Each duty needs to be done regulary to stop your horse being able to be rescued by other players.

How do I get a vet?

At the bottom of you barn page, there is an option "vet". Click this. Now you have to choose a vet. There are 6 in total. The one at the top is the most expensive. The one at the bottom is the cheapest. To choose your vet click hire. They can also be fired at a later date.

How to vet?

One way is to go back to the "vet" button at the bottom of the barn page. Once there you have an option of which horse you would like to vet and also which treatment. Once chosen click "pay".

Another way and easier way is to go to the daily duty checklist, fould at the bottom of your barn page. Once on there, a horse which needs to be seen by the vet will have a grey box next to vet. If you then click on "vet". A page will come up with the vets analysis and a syringe. If the horse needs to see the vet the syringe will have orange in it. Of so click the "pay" button, keep clicking this until the syringe turns grey. When on the checklist, if the box next to vet is red, then the horse is fine and does not need to be seen by the vet.

Remember it is also the trainers responsibility to make sure the horse is healthy!

When you do vet or farrier for a horse you click the horse and you scroll down untill you see a series of options including feed, water, groom, muck, vet, and farrier. Then you click vet. Next, you click "pay" and after that, normally, you would click "pay" again and again until the horse is healthy again, but I go down to the series of options and click vet instead of "pay". The way I do it is I click "pay" then vet then "pay" then vet then "pay" and then vet until the horse is healthy. It saves you money. It's too hard to explain, but try it. I,m telling you, it works.

Using the Vet and Farrier on the English Register

Taking care of your horses by vetting and farrier (along with feeding) is the best way to make sure your horse does not get rescued. It is important to remember that the health of the English register horses is at full health when the health is at 100%. (It used to be 78%, but Jade changed that in August 2010)

Go to the horse's page and scroll down under the logout button.

Vet and Farrier are there together. If you have bought a horse for the first time or your horse just isn't fully healthy, you will see that both vet and farrier say, "This horse is in fair condition." or worse, "This horse will die if I don't see it soon, it's terribly sick!" To get the best out of your horse when you show, click the vet link and buy the $1,000 Complete Physical, and the farrier's $500 Four Hooves shod. This will allow your horse to not have to see the vet or farrier for at least five days (unless you show a lot and need to give your horse a tonic).

If you have rescued a horse, you usually have to vet with the $1,000 three to four times, and the $500 farrier three to four times. Then check the feed to make sure the horse has a positive amount of feed (if it has a negative amount, then at -14, the horse can be rescued whether or not it is at full health from the vet and farrier).
