yeah, i rode poppers with gina (the woman who owns him) while arlene (the fanchy schmancy trainer) watched. It was, lets say, not the best ride I've ever had. Usually this horse is really responsive to my commands, but yesterday he picked to be lazy. I even had to ride with a crop (and if you know this horse you know how strange that is). It didn't go horribly, but it didnt go great either. oh well, I'm going to go ride Arlene's horse tomorrow, and hopefully i'll do better. ermph. Then, when I went to ride my horse, dazzle, he was absolutly ignoring my legs, and I had to ride with spurs. Which worked, for like 20 minutes. Then, since he didn't want to get poked by the spurs, he would guess whenever we brought him on the rail, by picking up a canter (usually on the wrong lead). (we origionally put on spurs so that he would listen when we set him up for the canter.) so we took those off, and then he was better. (darrah, for the show, i think that im going to ride in spurs for the saddleseat pleasure class and take them off for equitation, dazzle needs some variety in his life...) anyways... tuesday was definitely a blah day.
